In the darkness he could make out the tall and slender, yet curvy shadow of a woman. Her hair, a deep rich auburn, adorned her head with a playful tease. It was shoulder length, cascading off her head like a waterfall, landing softly in a curl at the base of her neck. It enhanced, ever so subtly, her soft chestnut eyes, lighting them on fire. Her eyes, sternly fixed on him, flashed with such a fiery brilliance as to leave one in an unbreakable trance.
He gazed at her momentarily, as if in an enchanted trance, before noticing the barrel of the rifle pointed directly at him.
“Vaea!” he stammered, hoping to prevent his head from being the object of target practice. “It’s me!”
