I hope you all are well. I like to check in once in a while to drop an update, so here I am.
The writing chapter I align myself with, has a monthly flash fiction contest for their Medium publication. Each month they have a different theme and encourage all their writers to submit for that theme. I’ve only submitted once but haven’t been able to put something together since.
They opened the contest this month, allowing for any and all submissions about the current crisis (this includes the 5.7 magnitude earthquake that hit us last week). The encouragement was for some non-fiction submissions. I’ve spent the day thinking about what I would write. I don’t feel it should be one of these rambling type posts or even a linear, personal, journal-like post either.
I’ve decided to write a narrative non-fiction account of my mind and the events that have taken place. I only hope I can deliver. I’m already down to the final hour of submission for Patreon.
I have struggled to find a writing voice, to tap into my creative vault. So much built up inside, and no release. Or at least none I can grasp on to.
I do want to thank you for your words of encouragement, of hope, of love. They mean more than I can express.
Stay tuned for more creative writing and, hopefully, a tease to the piece I will submit to the Medium publication. If you want to read more of my stories that I release for patrons only, subscribe to my Patreon. Thank you in advance.
